Where did the Qadiani movement originate?

The Qadiani movement originated in the late 19th century in Qadian, a small town in Punjab, India. It was during British colonial rule that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad began preaching his ideas of reform and spiritual revival.

Initially, his writings attracted many Muslims seeking a fresh approach to defending Islam against Christian missionaries and Hindu reformers. His eloquence and debates won him both admirers and critics.

Over time, the movement spread internationally, and today, followers are found in many countries, though their beliefs remain disputed by the majority of Muslims worldwide.
